The Air2G2, winner of the 2015 STMA Innovative Award, is a state of the art aerating machine that is revolutionizing turf maintenance for golf courses and athletic fields. Not only can the Air2g2 be used all year, regardless of season, weather, or upcoming events, but it is the only aeration machine that does not disrupt play or require a post-application clean up. This one-of-a-kind machine immediately relieves compaction, aides in surface water drainage by creating larger pore space in the soil subsurface, balances the water to air ratio within the soil and encourages positive microbial activity. Furthermore, the increase in air space within the soil means there’s more room for roots to grow. The deeper the roots grow, the more resistant the turf is to drought conditions.
The Air2g2 technology is only new to the Australian turf industry, but has been in use in both the US and UK now for a couple of years. The use of this technology for your sporting club will help improve the health and performance of your turf amenity.
Sporting Clubs in conjunction with Turf Managers are always looking to improve the playing performance of their sports amenity. To achieve this, you may need to do something differently. Playing surface performance is generated from the soil profile below the grass surface.
The benefits of this new technology can be far reaching. Its use, value adds to any renovation / maintenance programs. The green keeper can now access full depth of the soil profile (270mm) without interrupting the playing surface. The machines action is primarily “blasts” (2) of compressed air “fracking” the profile. This removes any compaction and hard pan at depth. Also, this injection of fresh air will purge out carbon dioxide and any other toxic gases so stimulating root growth and microbial activity due to the increased oxygen levels.
A pure source of soil aeration
The use of the Air2g2 machine at various depths over a period of time will deliver real performance improvements to both plant health and surface playability. This is important during the cooler / wetter months so providing drier, firmer playing conditions. Correct water and air management is vital to maintain optimum turf grass growth.
Injecting tine lengths available: 300mm 225mm and 175mm.
